This is a drawing from a few years back, drawn in the Flaming Lips dressing room before their Summerstage show. Wayne Coyne cheerfully sat for an interview with the publicist for Summerstage about parks in general and Central Park in particular. I got to draw while Wayne answered questions. My favorite moment was when Wayne was asked about what parks meant to him and he responded that the park had always been a good place to go and smoke pot or drop acid. “That’s not gonna be the pullout quote for the Central Park website,” I thought to myself….
